Wearing The Right Brassiere

Wearing The Right Brassiere

If you do wear a bra, there are many options but most importantly we want to discuss ‘must-have bras’. You might not always go underwear shopping but here are the types of bra to pair with your outfit to avoid your bra peeking out underneath your dress or any form of discomfort.

1. Adhesive bra: Whether your girls are small or large, every lady wants a bra that will stay in place and remain hidden whenever they want to rock their backless, low- cut or strapless dress. Some of these adhesive bras are washable and reusable up to a certain time.

2. Push up bra: Push up bras give your breast a lift and enhances the cleavage making your cup size appear larger. They’re most often underwire bras that have foam or gel padding for extra lift.

3. Convertible bras: These are multipurpose bras. You can wear them strapless or as a halter-neck, a one-shoulder, and more. If you are not keen on bra shopping, buy this and save yourself the stress.

4. Nursing bra: Of course, we would not leave our nursing mothers out. This bra has clips on the straps to unfasten each cup and make the whole nursing process so much more seamless.

5. Plunge bra: plunge bras offer less coverage and are suitable under deep V-necks and low-cut dresses

6. Minimizer bra: As the name suggests, these bras make the bust line appear smaller. If you are looking to make your bust appear smaller even up to an inch, this is the choice of bra.

7. Demi bra: Now this is cut even lower than a balconette bra, they cut one inch above the nipple and works better under low-cut scoop-neck tops.

8. Balconette: Balconette bra cups are cut low horizontally just like a balcony. The cups are cut smaller and show more of the top of the breast. They are meant to be worn under low- cut necks. Balconette bras and demi bras are similar, but they are not the same.

9. Strapless bra: if you do not want your bra straps peeking out, Strapless bras are a must for any shoulder-baring outfit, your camisoles, off-shoulder, halter tops and strap tops

10. T-shirt bra: As the name suggests, T-shirt bras are worn beneath T-shirts. These bras are round, moulded cups, they usually don’t show under a tight-fitting T-shirt.

Menstrual Hygiene Management

Best hygienic ways to dispose menstrual pads, tampons

Menstrual Hygiene Management is an essential aspect of hygiene for women and adolescent girls. Menstruation is a naturally occurring physiological phenomenon in adolescent girls and pre-menopausal women.

It is not only required to keep yourself clean during your menstrual period but is necessary to properly dispose of the used menstrual materials.

Since it’s a private matter, we are often tempted to want to dispose of menstrual waste by flushing it down the toilet once removed, please refrain from doing it.
Flushing it down the toilet may clog the drainage system and lead to flooding of the toilet because the material does not disintegrate, and this can be embarrassing.

Pads & tampons are disposable menstrual products worn (recommended to be worn for 8 hours) externally like underwear to absorb menstrual flow.

So, here are better disposal techniques to be used?

The absorbent menstrual materials are disposed of according to the type of product used, cultural beliefs, and location (underdeveloped, developing, developed country).

1. Wrap the used products properly in a paper or waste bag to prevent foul smell and any-disease-causing pathogens. Dispose of a garbage bin afterwards. How do you do this? Roll the pad up tightly and neatly, do it in such a way that the soiled part is on the inside.

2. These wastes can also be disposed of in incinerators (according to eco-friendly guidelines, to reduce pollution).

3. Wash your hands properly with soap and wash after disposal. This will prevent the spread of germs.

4. Many disregard the number one rule, they simply shred and flush. Many do this because it is believed that some persons with diabolic intentions pick it up from the dustbins, landfills and use it for ritual purposes.

What these categories of people do is to shred the separate the cotton-like part (the one soaked with menstrual blood) from the nylon part. Then shred the cotton-like part into pieces and flush it. The nylon part is then flushed.

Red Flags in Relationships

Red Flags in Relationships

Haa!!! You were so sure there was something fishy going on but you could not place it until it became ‘ yam, pepper scatter scatter' sigh.

Fifty per cent of times, in fact, more than fifty per cent of times you guts are right, when you think that something is wrong somewhere, you should go back and check again just to be sure. We are most times right but choose to throw caution to the wind, be carried away, ignorant of our observations and feelings.

The same thing applies in a relationship, this is not about being insecure, paranoid or just having trust issues and uncertainties about what life throws at you. It is about trusting you and your feelings.

The signs are there sweet sis do not ignore it, you do not need to nag him also, just ask questions, you will find answers I assure you.

You know he loves you or ‘used to' if that is the excuse you have for ignoring that he has gotten comfortable with not talking to you in days and does not seem to bother, sis! o wrong now! You cannot be too busy for the one you love and when he is so busy due to ‘powers beyond his control' there should have been a previous agreement before that time. Communication is key!

He does not invite you over at all and when he does the only thing you do is have sex, he does not bother to know how you have been faring, sis ‘shine those beautiful eyes joor' if he is not giving you that care, he is probably giving it to another woman or he is just plain self-centred.

You go on a date and all he does is salivate on every other lady. If you were thinking of giving this man a chance, you need to go back to think again. If he cannot even focus on you on one date, when will he ever get to focus on the relationship?

Does he nag you about your weight? Saying insensitive jokes about you being plus size? You are beautiful in every sense of the word and we do not need anyone damaging your self-esteem and mental health. We also do not want for you someone who does not respect you. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU.

DIY Honey Hair Masks For Healthy Hair Growth

DIY Honey Hair Masks For Healthy Hair Growth

5 simple DIY honey hair masks for healthy hair growth

Her hair looks so healthy, shiny and moisturizing, and it got you wondering, "what exactly is she doing differently?" Let me let the cat out of the bag, she most likely is using one of the best ingredients you can use for your DIY hair masks – HONEY.
Are you surprised, just that? Yes, honey. We bring to you five different ways to make your hair masks with honey.

1. Honey, Banana, and Olive oil: 1 banana, 3 tbsp of honey and olive oil is the required measurement to make this hair mask. Chop the banana into small pieces, add the olive oil with honey and blend.

The next step is to section your hair into four parts and apply generously on damp hair, this will make it retain the mixture. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes before you apply shampoo. I do this when I intend to wash my hair.

2. Honey and eggs: Yes, eggs! They aren’t just for food. Eggs are a great source of protein. Do you want your hair colour treated or heat-damaged hair to come back to life? In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs and 3 tablespoons of honey, until it is smooth. Section your hair into four parts, apply this mixture generously, then cover your hair with a plastic shower cap. Weave it for 20 minutes, then wash out.

3. Honey and castor oil: You desire something that will help fight scalp infections? try using honey (2tbsp) and castor oil (3 tbsp), the latter acts as an anti-fungal. Castor oil is said to contain vitamins, fatty acids.

Assemble the honey and castor oil in a small bowl, whisk together with spoon or fork until it becomes a smooth paste. Apply generously in your already sectioned damp hair. Use a plastic cap (shower cap) on your hair to hold the heat. Allow it to sit for the next 30 minutes and shampoo.

4. Mix honey and your favourite deep conditioner: You can also spice up your deep-conditioning routine by adding honey to your deep conditioner.
Mix a handful of your deep conditioner and 2 tablespoons of the honey in a bowl. Apply and ensure your hair is covered from the scalp to the tips of your hair. Use a plastic cap and let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse out.

5. Honey and coconut oil: How do you combine for use? Whisk the two ingredients in a bowl until it is well blended. Section your hair into four sections, apply on the damp hair. Cover with a plastic cap. Allow it sit for at least 20 minutes, wash and style.

Date Menu

Date Menu

You are just getting to know each other and you are curious to know who this gentleman or woman could be. There are certain interesting conversations to make, and there are ones you should refrain from.

The main mission is to keep the interaction interesting so the two of you can truly get to know each another, have the right kinds of conversations without creating a tense or boring atmosphere.

Have you ever found it hard to know your date’s sense of humour? You might say to yourself, are my jokes going to make my date burst into laughter or otherwise. How well does he/she handle sarcasm? You just don’t want to go wrong this time, true or false?

Just like a menu list, that has a list of all the food you can choose in a restaurant, the date menu list also has a list of what you might prefer to have on the table of discussion.

Related Post: Having Sex on Your First Date

If you are unsure how to jump into a conversation, why not start by giving genuine compliments, I repeat genuine comment. You could complement his/her outfit, choice of restaurant (environment), hairdo, accent, etc. This can transition to a broader conversation about food, education, hobbies, music, movies, books, best relaxation spot, life experiences, mutual interests, etc.

Also, I know you might be excited to see this person, that you don’t even know what to say, it is understandable. However, avoid definite responses like yes, no. Try to expatiate. Hmm hmmm is a no go around. It’s supposed to be a dialogue, not a monologue. The aforementioned words make it an emotionless

Ask questions based on what is presently being discussed. If for instance, your date is talking about childhood memories, try not to switch the topic suddenly, to how your ex-lover broke up with you, obviously, there is no correlation between those two.

Marriage Proposal

Marriage Proposal: Will you give the ring back after the break-up

Blah! Blah! Blah! We are all aware you said yes to that marriage proposal, in fact, we were all present when you accepted that diamond ring with so much screaming and tears in your eyes.

You are no longer interested in the proposal for reasons best known to you, it is quite alright as long as you are happy which is the most important thing. Girl! Why in the world would you not give that ring back? A ring is given to symbolises a promise of marriage between both parties and now that there is a breach of agreement, will you do the right thing?

Is it because it is expensive and you can sell it off and get some money off it, perhaps, you just want to get back at him? What if it was not expensive, would you not have returned or even trash it.

Now let us get this straight, a lot of ladies might have been through so much trauma in a relationship and believe that holding on to the ring is a little compensation for all the trauma they have experienced. They might just sell it off if it was expensive and use the money. "What a wawu right?" Are you that desperate? It even gets worse when the guy in question is clamouring for his ring back.

Are you also holding on to that ring, as a remembrance of the good times you both shared? If that is the case, then girl it's not worth it, you deserve better so start moving on. It is easier said than done but the earlier you face your reality, the easier your healing process becomes.

Think about it this way, he bought the ring with his money, it's his ring, then he decides to give the ring to solidify your mutual agreement. Now you are no longer towing that part, isn't that enough reason to return it?

For whatever reason you are holding on to that ring, if the guy wants the ring back then you should give it back, if not then do as you wish.

What Men Want-min

What do men really want?

Every lady has this question on her mind, sometimes it could be because someone is seriously asking you out, which makes you wonder, 'why is the guy really into me'. It could also be your relationship, sometimes, you might want to know why your spouse loves you so much. He might not have thought about it, but you may possess some of these qualities.

Men desire women who treat them likes kings. Yes, he asked you out, you always expect he should always be the one texting, calling, visiting as well as springing up surprise outing and gifts. He is treating you like a queen, you should do the same too. You would note a song by Fireboy - king 'baby se mi bi oba, me I fit fight for your love, but i no go fit beg for your love'. You should make him feel wanted too,  queen.

Men want women who are capable of taking care of themselves. Forget when he says I do not want you doing this or that', just own you and own your money. Be financially independent!

Men want to be with a woman who shares his goals and dreams. Someone who had dreams for herself too, not just dreams but someone who is actively working to achieve her dreams.

Men want women who listen, who they can confide in. Do not forget that your reaction to everything he shares with you determines what he will be comfortable telling you. So you want your man comfortable telling you every single thing, then you have to be able to handle situations properly.

Men want women who have a positive outlook on things. Like our Naija peeps would say ' person wey get vibes back to back'. Someone who they are compatible with. Compatibility is key in determining the longevity of that relationship or marriage.

What men want is not far fetched. Publog.ng would also like to emphasize that irrespective of what men want, we also want women who are comfortable being themselves and comfortable in their skin.

Hands in Hair Syndrome

Hands in Hair Syndrome

Do you find your hands in your hair unconsciously or you have a habit/urge of walking your hands in your hair absent-mindedly? Do you find it difficult to stop touching your hair? You probably think there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. It’s self-love right, you think?

Simply put, hands in hair syndrome is a disorder whereby people can’t keep their hands off their hair.

Hands in hand syndrome can cause more harm than good such as split ends, single strand knots, tangles, breakage, etc.

These are the likely reasons you are having a hand in hair syndrome (It’s not limited to these).

1. You are bored, stressed, nervous, depressed? If any of this is the case, do something that occupies your mind and hands. Keep your hands occupied when engaging in mindless activities such as surfing the internet, such as watching the television, etc. But, first, know what triggers your hands in hair syndrome. So, ask yourself why do I tend to touch my hair?

2. Your hair is (always) itchy. This is probably due to reaction to some hair products, head lice, scalp ringworm, hives, dandruff which is as a result of dry scalp. How do you get rid of an itchy scalp? The first step here is to find out why the scalp itches.

3. You want to feel your hair all the time, or you probably don’t like the feel of your hair.

4. You are concentrating on something and you like to fiddle with your hair at the same time.

5. Your hair is probably not plaited: Try new hairstyles that will go wrong when you touch, I’m certain, you don’t want to ruin the nice hairdo you have with the hands in hair syndrome.

Husband Material

Sister!!!!! Do you know you can find the perfect man? The process is quite simple. Remember how we used to get clay and mould then into several shapes in fine arts class in junior school? You would get clay in a large quantity and mould your perfect man, then you give him the breath of

life. Tada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here comes your perfect man.

If only we could get the replica of the men, we have all pictured we want to be with but then humans were not made to be perfect, you just get to pick the imperfections you can deal with for the rest of your life.

Imperfection or not, please do not marry a man who in the slightest of provocation slaps you or even beat you. If he does not kill you, sis, you will kill him. It always ends badly.

A husband material knows how to care for himself. He is aware that he needs to change his boxers because it got torn, a husband material knows he should wash his underwear. A husband material knows not to breed armpit hair. Why would he keep that hair? Are you planning to braid it for him, sis?

A husband material is sensitive to your feelings, he understands what his woman wants and needs. This does not happen in all cases as we have a lot of our men engrossed in a lot due to pressure, they are not even sensitive to their own needs. This not Justify him not being sensitive at all, if he is not sensitive to your emotions then there is a problem.

A lazy man is a no-go area, a man who has dreams but you never see him take even a step into achieving his dreams. He might need a little push. A push in the right direction. If you have been pushing and he does not want to be pushed, please begin to search for your husband material elsewhere. We are not saying you should be all about the money but we need a hardworking and ambitious man.

Is that man supportive of your dreams and aspirations? Is that man confident that you have a car and millions in your account? Is he confident that you can bankroll yourself? Sis, he is your man, go get him.

eye bags

How to get rid of eye bags

Eye bags and circles can easily mar the beauty of our eyes. Beauty resides in the eyes and we all dream of a pair of shinning, beautiful eyes free of dark circles and eyes bags. Certain things like diet choices, bad lifestyle, lack of sleep, bad makeup removal habits, inherited genes, age, etc. contribute to eyebags and darl circles.

1. Use a cold compress: Wet a clean washcloth with cold water. While sitting up, apply the damp washcloth to the skin under and around your eyes for a few minutes using mild pressure.

2. Cut down on fluids before bedtime and reduce salt in your diet. This will reduce fluid retention and maybe the root cause of your eye bags. Meanwhile, experts recommend about 9 cups of fluids for women daily. Aside from eye bags, a high salt intake might lead to other health issues, like heart diseases, stroke and others.

3. Do not smoke. Smoking can aggravate the problem of bags under your eyes. Smoking diminishes your body’s stores of vitamin C, which is responsible for creating healthy collagen in your skin.

4. Get enough sleep. For most adults, seven to nine hours is a good amount of sleep.

5. Never wear makeup to bed: Wearing makeup to bed exposes you to free radicals, thus the need to wash that makeup off. Wearing eye makeup like mascara may irritate your eyes, you might develop an infection that creates redness, puffiness or other symptoms. Also, you may experience an allergic reaction.
Be tender when you remove the makeup around your eye. Do not to pull or pluck the eyelids, if you do so often, your eyelids will grow lax and eye bags will set in.

6. Quit alcohol intake: Alcohol intake is said to contribute to dehydration and this may lead to bags and dark circles beneath the eye. Do you always have cravings for alcoholic drinks? It is advised that you try infusing water with fruit or take flavoured sparkling water.
